On November 11, a delegation led by Qingdao Customs officials visited Rongcheng City, Weihai, to conduct an in-depth investigation into the construction progress of CUD (Weihai) Shipyard Co., LTD.—a core enterprise under Shandong Xin Hong Group—as well as the Shandong Dadao Marine Industry Science and Technology Park project (Dadao Shipyard). Wang Xiaojun, Chairman of Xinfa Holdings Company, provided a detailed overview of the company's current business status and future development plans.

Focusing on Existing Strengths: XinHong Heavy Industry Demonstrates Northern Region's Benchmark Excellence in Repair and Manufacturing
A delegation led by Qingdao Customs officials conducted an on-site inspection of CUD (Weihai) Shipyard Co., Ltd. Guided by Yao Yongke, Chairman of Xin Hong Group, the customs leaders gained a detailed understanding of the shipyard's operations. As a national first-class open port, Xin Hong Heavy Industry boasts one 300,000-ton dry dock and one 200,000-ton dry dock, along with a 3,000-meter-long outfitting berth—equipping it with robust capabilities to undertake the repair, modification, and construction of various large-scale vessels. The company not only provides employment for more than 1,500 locally contracted workers but has also forged close industry-chain collaborations with over 500 suppliers, making significant contributions to regional economic development. The customs officials highly praised Xin Hong Heavy Industry's expertise and market achievements in the fields of bulk carriers, container ships, tankers, and offshore engineering equipment maintenance and construction.

Anchoring Future Strategies: Dadong Shipyard Builds a New High Ground for Offshore Engineering Equipment
Following this, the research team listened carefully to the construction and planning progress report from Dade Shipyard. As a key provincial project in Shandong Province for 2024, Dade Shipyard is committed to becoming "the most competitive large-scale shipbuilding and offshore engineering equipment repair, construction, and conversion base in Northern China." Chairman Wang briefed the customs officials, explaining that the project includes plans for two ultra-large 530-meter-class shipyards, equipped with world-class facilities such as 1,200-ton gantry cranes. These state-of-the-art installations will enable the yard to focus primarily on building high-end offshore engineering vessels like FLNG and FPSO units, as well as large, eco-friendly ships. Once the project is fully completed, it is expected to achieve a significant leap forward in annual output value.

Joint Efforts by Government and Enterprises: Precision Services Steer Industries Toward a Brighter Future
During the research and exchange session, leaders from Qingdao Customs attentively listened to Chairman Wang's report on the company's development challenges, and engaged in an in-depth discussion on issues such as maritime approval processes and the construction of supporting facilities during project implementation. The customs leaders assured that they would fully leverage their functional strengths to provide "one-stop," tailored services—ranging from customs clearance for ships and large-scale equipment imports/exports to policy consultations—and actively coordinate with relevant departments to collaboratively address bottlenecks and obstacles in the project's progress, thereby fostering a more favorable business environment for enterprises.

This research initiative not only demonstrates Qingdao Customs' deep concern and support for the development of key local enterprises, but also injects strong momentum into Xin Hong Group's future growth. With robust backing from the government and customs authorities, Xin Hong Group is rapidly advancing toward a promising "blue ocean" characterized by high-end innovation, intelligent technologies, and sustainable practices—contributing significantly to China's ambition of becoming a maritime power.
